In the opening round of the 2017 World Golf Championships – Dell Technologies Match Play, World No. 1 Dustin Johnson finished his match early after beating Webb Simpson 5 & 3, while Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were upset in their respective matches.

The top 64 players in the world battle it out in the second of four World Golf Championships events of 2017. Dell Technologies Match Play is held at the Austin Country Club, in Austin, Texas. The defending champion is Jason Day, who beat Louis Oosthuizen 5 & 4 in the championship match in 2016.

  1. Just before Soren nearly aced 17, he has been AS with Rory 60 yards back and behind a tree on a par 5. Without hesitation he pulls out DRIVER and proceeds to calmly smoke a baby draw about 4 feet off the ground 240. Pitched up to a conceded short putt while Rory missed his birdie. On 17 tee during Kjeldsen's backswing, some idiot in the TV tower dropped some kind of metal onto metal. It was pretty loud, but despite the attempted sabotage, Soren won the match on that little 2 footer
